Rights Are Not Negotiable

“A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.”  – The Second Amendment of the United States Constitution

“Shall not be infringed” seems pretty clear, doesn’t it?  There are no “loopholes” in that statement.  There are no “zones” where this right does not apply.  Shall not be infringed, ever, for any reason, period.

Nobody’s rights should ever be infringed.  That is the core principle of the concept of individual liberty.  No one man has a right to enslave, disarm, dominate, rule over or otherwise initiate violence against another man.  By extension, no government, in claiming to represent the people, has the legitimate authority violate the rights of any man.  Sadly, it seems that infringement of rights is rampant in America today.   In fact, virtually every right bestowed upon mankind has been violated to some extent by government.  Now, with the many aggressive efforts of the media, corrupt politicians, government agencies, non-profit entities, foreign bodies like the United Nations, elitist billionaires and activist corporations, our rights are being squeezed out of existence.  This unconscionable form of discrimination and subjugation threatens our natural, God-given and Constitutionally guaranteed right to arm ourselves.

The right of an individual to bear arms predates even the most primitive notions of government and society.  Tragically, throughout history illegitimate governments have repeatedly sought to disarm those they wished to rule under the boot of tyranny, with disastrous consequences.  Upon the establishment of this country our founders went to great lengths to ensure that the freedom they had fought for would never again be stolen by a tyrannical government.  This is why they carefully worded the Second Amendment of the Constitution to “ensure the security” of our freedom.

Unfortunately, we have arrived at a time in our country when people have come to power who think very little of our founders, our Constitution or even our rights as individual human beings.  They are pursuing an agenda to demonize guns and gun owners, distort the meaning of the Constitution, and ultimately disarm the people.  Why?  They claim it is for public safety.  We know better.  However, our goal isn’t to have a debate on the merits of the Second Amendment here, but to provide a very specific and useful bit of information to the people.

When conducting your business and deciding where you want to spend your hard-earned money and who you want to associate yourself with, it is prudent to make sure you understand who you are about to reward with your business.  In particular, does the company you are about to reward with your business really deserve it?  Have they promoted policies that violate your rights?  Have they publicly taken a position against your rights?  Do they provide support or funding to other companies, organizations, politicians or non-profit entities that seek to violate your rights?

Business owners have rights, and we should respect those rights.  The right to speak and be heard applies to all of us, equally.  In fact, our aim is to make SURE you have heard what business owners have said and done with respect to your rights.  If they are proud of their positions, then they should be appreciative for our spreading of their message.  To better understand the positions of companies we ask them to complete The Second Amendment Check Questionnaire.

By being informed in our decision making we can reward those who deserve it, and avoid those who discriminate against us.  Our goal is to provide you, the people, with the tools and information to make intelligent decisions about where you spend your money.
